Basic Health Care

Kishori

The trust regularly conducts educational sessions for adolescent girls, at their schools. In these sessions, after showing a educational video, topics such as menstrual hygiene, good trouch-bad touch, etc., will be discussed with the girls. If required, a team of a lady doctor and a lady counsellor will meet students personally to clarify their doubt or to resolve if they have any concerns.

clinic

Trust provides basic medical services to deprived people from nearby slums. At ‘Sanjeevini Free Clinic a doctor is available at least twice a week between 4pm to 7pm, and provides free consultation and some basic tablets are given free of charge.

medicalcamps

Each year, 3 to 4 medical camps will be held. In these camps, general health and eye check-ups are done for students, women and senior citizens. Depending on the need, on a case to case basis, further detailed free check-ups are also organised at our partner hospitals. These detailed check-ups at hospitals are done either without any charge or at very nominal charges. Our sponsor of these medical camps – Carl Zeiss India – also provides high quality eyeglasses to students free of charge, if they are assessed to have deficient eye sight.

yoga

Daily yoga classes are held at the Trust for general public at no charge.

Counselling

An expert counseller, on a need basis, provides counselling services to students, ladies from self-help groups or any member of their family, every Friday at the clinic.
