Trust is actively participating in social service activities since 1990s. From 2008 it started a scheme (Vidya Vahini Project) through which scholarships are being given to talented students who are from economically backward section. In the first year, there were only 13 students who were awarded scholarships compared to 82 in the academic year 2018-19. From the first batch of 13 students, 3 students have completed Engineering and 2 students are pursuing Chartered Accountancy. 7 students have completed other degrees. After that, there was no attempt by the Trust to document these statistics although there are many success stories similar to the students from the first batch. The focus of the Trust was solely on expanding activities which would benefit the society. However, many well-wishers were of the opinion that these types of success stories should be documented as it will show the distance Trust has covered so far and also it will be inspiring for the new students. We have just started to document these stories. We will update this section as and when we get information about students who benefitted from Vidya Vahini Project.
She has just completed her graduation - MBBS and now will be pursuing her MD.

Among the recipient of scholarship from the Trust, until now there are many graduates including engineers. However, this year we have seen a student becoming a chartered accountant and now a doctor!!

Bhuvanashree who secured 97.6% and Sathish who secured 95% in the SSLC exams have got admission in Deeksha colleges. Trust is sponsoring for their PU education.
Very glad to inform you all that, all 25 students studied under Vidya Vahini Project sponsored by Sneha Seva Trust have cleared exams successfully.
Out of 25 students, 5 students have scored 90+%, 6 students 80+%, 6 students 70+%, 3 students 60+% and 5 students have scored 50+%.

Thriveni, who is currently studying in 3rd year B.Com, has secured a government job on the basis of her marks in 2nd year PUC (97%) as Village Accountant in a place closer to her native village.
She was a regular student of our tuition centre for the last 10 years and from 8th std she was supported by scholarship provided under Vidya Vahini Project.
While, Thriveni had potential to complete much more than B.Com, it was a prudent decision to take up this job considering the financial condition of her family.
she has assured that she will complete her B.Com degree through correspondence course.

Very pleased to inform you that, in the 2nd PUC results announced today, out of 11 students supported by Trust under Vidya Vahini project, 10 students have passed with First Class and 1 student with second class. Top scorer Triveni, has scored 97% with 100% marks in Business Studies, Statistics and Accounts. Congratulations to all students and their proud parents. Our heartiest congratulations to Mukhesh who has secured 98% in the recent SSLC exams.He has secured 125,100,100,95,94 and 100 in Kannada,English,Hindi,Science,MAths and Social Subjects.Mukhesh,comes from economically backward section of the society,with his father working in power handloom factory and mother being house wife. With limited resources, staying in 8X10 feet home did not deter this talented boy from achieving his dream of securing more than 95% of marks.In college, he would like to take up science to keep the option, of joining Engineering or MBBS,open. He is grateful to Sneha Seva Trust for the opportunity given to him to attend tuition classes and all the special training given on Sundays. Join me in wishing Mukhesh all the best in his future endeavours.
During the usual Trust meeting today, there was a surprise visitor. Mallikarjuna, who was part of 1st batch of Vidya Vahini project in 2009, visited the office to inform that he has completed Engineering and he has got a job through campus placement!!! (In Cyient Engineering as Design Engineer). When we hear things like this, cannnot thank enough each one of you for the support extended to Trust.

For the FIRST TIME, a student supported by our Trust gets in to Medical course and will be a doctor soon:!!! Currently she is pursuing MBBS in Bangalore Medical College.
It's 10th exam results and another great performance by the students. Most important point to note is that When these kids were in 7th standard and took the entrance exam to become eligible for scholarship (from 8th standard), most of these students could not pass the entrance exam. Their performance in entrance exam was below par. Trust took a decision to take these kids to tuitions without any scholarship and invest the time and money on teaching at tuition classes. These students were given scholarships only after assessing their performance in 8th and 9th standard examinations. As we see today, from the level they were in, they have progressed immensely and now few of them passed the exam with distinction. The performance of the students are worth a grand salute. Congratulations once again to the students and to the teachers who guided them.
Once again great news. Very pleased to inform you all that students supported by Sneha Seva Trust have done better than expected. Thanks to all who are supporting the Trust in this endeavour. Will keep you all informed as they join BE/MBBS/BCom courses. If two girls join MBBS or BE as they are planning to, they would be first generation professional degree holders in their families/extended families!!!
Lavanya is one girl who likes to take up challenges head on. She is from lower middle class background. Her father drives an auto to earn and take care of the family. She also helps her mother with the household chores as her mother has to go for a day job at a garment factory. With all these limitations, in the recently concluded(May 2017) 2nd PUC exams, she has scored 93% overall with 100% marks in 3 core subjects (Business Studies, Accountancy and Statistics)!!! She wants become a chartered accountant in future. This talented girl is also an excellent dancer and has keen interest in public speaking and sports. After she becomes Chartered Accountant, her desire is to give back to society for all the help she has received from society while doing her studies. We earnestly wish all her dreams come true.
Back again with great news:). In the SSLC exams, out of 15 students supported by Trust under Vidya Vahini Project, 5 students have secured distinction, 9 students have cleared the exams in first class and one in second class. Harshitha has scored highest with 603 marks out of 625 with 100% in Mathematics. Congratulations to all the students. From these 15, Trust will continue to support at-least 10 students to study 1st and 2nd year PUC. Sincere thanks to all well-wishers, donors, teachers and volunteers.
It's that time of the year to gloat about performance of students supported by the Trust Very pleased to inform you that, all the 4 students who were supported by the trust have cleared 2nd PUC exams with distinction. Special mention is to be made of Lavanya, who cleared exams with 555 marks scoring 100 in each of business studies, Accountancy and Statistics subjects.
